Maman - Mutti - Mom-

Maman
The courage that my mother had
Went with her, and is with her still:
Rock from New England quarried;
Now granite in a granite hill.

The golden brooch my mother wore
She left behind for me to wear;
I have no thing I treasure more:
Yet, it is something I could spare.

Oh, if instead she'd left to me
The thing she took into the grave!--
That courage like a rock, which she
Has no more need of, and I have.

This is Mom's memorial web site. It is a therapeutic effort and a work-in-progress.

Her lifestory at the Evansville Courier

Please donate to the (Indiana) Vanderburgh County Humane Society in remembrance of her - she also loved the Posey County Humane Society, which hopes to open again someday and could use donations too.
Mom also supported the Vanderburgh County Humane Society Pet Clinic.

She loved Bart, Tank, Little Bart & Honey Bump from Growing Up Grizzly: please visit VitalGround.org and contribute as you can.

Other worthy organizations she cared about:
- KSRF
- Keeshond Rescue of the Central States
- Paralyzed Veterans of America
- Adult Literacy

Thank you Andy Olson and Radio Free Phoenix

NEWS:

Missing her has found its voice. It is called "Remembering Our Moms."
This idea is brand new as of early 2009, and is being helped along by Brenda, and also by the loss Barbara has just experienced.
I am looking for the right online application to allow for people to post their stories and join in a community of mom-appreciation.

Mom would've liked that!
